Trigon Metals Inc. is a Canadian exploration, development, and mining company focused on copper and silver assets in Africa.

The company has established itself as an important industry player by successfully advancing one of Namibia’s major copper mines from development to production.

1. The Problem

The company lacked a strong digital presence to communicate its progress during the transition from development to production, and maintain strong relationships with shareholders and potential investors.

The challenge was modernizing the company’s communication with a clear strategy and building brand trust among shareholders, brokers, and potential investors in a competitive and traditional market.

2. Developing a Marketing Strategy

Stories connect. Stories engage. Stories build trust.
And in mining, it's no different.

At a time when few small-cap mining companies had a strong digital presence, I identified a key opportunity to introduce the company's story to investors through digital channels. I led the development and execution of a strategy that brought Trigon Metals’ story to life, helping to increase brand awareness, strengthen investor communications, and position the company.

3. Integrated Marketing Plan

Brand Positioning

My initial approach involved conducting market and competitor research (including SWOT analysis) to understand industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitive positioning, as well as setting up key performance indicators. This was an important step in defining clear objectives and developing Trigon's brand tone to align with corporate goals.

Digital Strategy and Content Marketing

As the lead on Trigon Metals’ digital strategy, I launched and managed the company’s official online presence across social media. While the core audience was initially investors, the strategy expanded to include the local communities where the company operates

Following the strategy, I developed the content strategy from planning through execution, defining a clear brand voice and narrative while developing editorial calendars featuring educational content, thought-leadership videos, investor updates, industry practices, and more.

Corporate Communications

To support our marketing campaigns, I prioritized creating consistent communication touchpoints - such as newsletters, events, webinars, shareholder materials, and regular updates for investors, brokers, and the local community. Keeping everyone well-informed of our activities was one of our goals in building trust and engagement.

Investor Materials with Impact

With investor relations at the core of the business, I worked closely with the CEO to create investor decks, corporate presentations, pitch materials and factsheets that reflected the company's strategy, project potential and financial highlights. Transforming complex data into clear information while maintaining brand and visual consistency was essential in positioning Trigon as a mid-tier copper producer.

This strategy built brand credibility, supported capital raises, and strengthened long-term relationships with shareholders and stakeholders.

- Improved relationships with investors and stakeholders by optimizing the website user experience and reorganizing the investor page, leading to a 20% increase in meetings booked through the website.

All content was created in-house to add value and personality to the brand, using original videos and photos from site visits provided by the CEO, VP Operations and mine manager.

Visiting the mine site in Namibia gave me direct experience of the operations, which strengthened the storytelling and was reflected in our communications.

While most mining companies rely on press release reposts, I took a different approach with Trigon Metals’ Instagram - bringing the brand to life through visual storytelling, educational content, and behind-the-scenes moments.

The goal was to humanize the company, build trust, and keep investors engaged with dynamic, approachable content that stood out in a traditionally conservative sector.

Real Stories from Site

To keep our audience up-to-date with the company developments, I developed a video series that spotlighted daily operations at the Kombat Mine. The content gave investors and stakeholders an authentic view of the company's progress.

A series of educational posts was developed to inform investors about mining facts, industry news, and Africa’s key mining jurisdictions.

To make the posts stand out from other posts, I used carousels, videos, and infographics to make the content more visually appealing and encourage audience interaction.

By breaking down complex topics into engaging formats (carousel, videos, infographics), the content helped demystify the mining industry and connect with investors.

Visual Storytelling for Investor Confidence

To support capital raising and improve investor communications, I led the creation of Trigon’s investor materials, translating complex data into clear, visually engaging narratives that made the company’s journey easy to follow.

Applying storytelling techniques, I structured the corporate presentation and investor decks as a cohesive narrative, translating project milestones, financial highlights, and strategic vision into visually engaging content.

This approach provided not only a visually compelling and coherent brand narrative but also made the company’s journey more accessible and easier to understand.
